Memories of New York

Two years ago today, I was on a train bound for New York City with my mom, sisters, and neice. (At this point I think we were wondering if we were ever actually going to get off the train!)

I had such an exciting time and loved every minute of it. It was such an adventure and I loved sharing it with my family. Here are some of the highlights!


Here we are on the train eating breakfast. We ended up being on the train for about 13 hours! We played cards just about the entire time.

My First Two-Things Tuesday

1. I love to listen to cooking shows. I don't have to watch them, but I like to have them on as background noise.
2. My younger daughter is the same. Her favorite is Rachel Ray. She doesn't care too much for the Barefoot Contessa.

Finally Friday

I'm so glad that Friday is finally here! I'm exhausted. It has been a busy week. Both girls had scout meetings this week, I was wrapping up "Cookie Mom" duties, had a meeting with my new director, and working on a couple of complicated projects at work. Whew! I'm glad we don't have much planned this weekend.

Maw Maw is here visiting this weekend. This is the first time she's been here since she got so sick in January. She is getting around really well and is making it up the stairs pretty good. We will be limiting her trips up and down as much as possible.

I hope to just catch up on stuff this weekend. Do some decluttering and some laundry that is a little behind. Not as behind as it was before I left for work though! Pete and Maw Maw had a load folded when I got home from work. That was a nice surprise! I'm still working on getting some pictures uploaded to spruce up the blog. Here is one of us at Disney this year. We sure had a great time!

Lesson two....... Add a picture.

The hardest part of this is finding a picture of myself! I'm the one in the family that takes the pictures, not the one that is in the pictures. I'm going to have to fix that!
